Conservation Conversation

Our Dilemma

We here at DriWater just found ourselves in a conversation that begged to be shared. It was as we were reviewing some of our newest campaign ideas that we found ourselves musing over a curious "problem":

-- Does it sound "gloaty" to mention that we save water, money and help to restore the environment in sites that can't otherwise be accessed?

-- Hmm, well yeah a little, can we make it sound less "look how cool this is?"

Unique indeed! This is when we all kind of looked at one another and realized that this predicament was probably going to resolve itself.

Tackling the "problem"

What we decided on was featuring more of the awesome projects we are involved with. Exposing the efforts of our customers to make the earth a better place, to conserve water, and to put cost effective sustainability into action.

So keep an eye on our Conservation Conversation campaign as we start our mission to highlight the awesome efforts towards environmental sustainability!

Native Plant Establishment in Late Summer
– Phase II

As a follow up to the initial study—Native Plant Establishment in Late Summer—Phase II focuses on root system growth when planting in the warmest time of year.

The study determined that utilizing a time release water gel or TRWG (DriWater PLUS) at planting established root system growth and resulted in a 139% increase in root mass when compared to controls. Study results also indicated considerable upper plant growth at 68% over controls.

These measurements indicate that by planting trees in August additional root growth can take place prior to dormancy. This growth accounts for increased survival rates. Establishment through root maturation reduced the need for long-term irrigation.
